Re: The lost symbol is coming out today!!

What is this? I have no clue. Some please explain. Thanks!

oops, it should be "the lost symbol", the new book by Dan brown. And it should be Masons, not Mansions

I typed this before a meeting that I was about to be late.

I changed the title... Hope I didn't confuse too many people...

 I still have no clue:eek:. Enjoy it whatever it is!

What?? You don't know "the Lost Symbol"? This is a new book by the author of "the Da Vinci Code".. It is based on the true and highly secretive history of American Masons and all the conspiracy theories about Mason (Many US presidents, including Bush senior and junior, are members) attempting to take over the world. It's going to be exciting since it is a political/espionage thriller. I think many people of this forum could be the potential fans for this type of books.

I know about the Da Vinci code. I don't believe it and I don't read that sort of book. Not interested. In fact I've not read any books since 1991 when I retired from the USN.

You are not supposed to believe it. It's fictional. That's why I thought it was funny that the catholic church got so worked up about the book. I think it is cool that Dan Brown skillfully mix true history with fictional stuff and make the book very gripping. Also he usually gives a good description on all the high tech weapons and espionage equipments.

Masons...?? Probably the Freemasons are not really happy with Dan Brown's allusions!

Moreover there are existing many US based ´secret societies´ like the mysterious ´Skulls and Bones´ where indeed Bush sr. and Bush jr. are lifetime members. Just remember that John Kerry refused to publicly discuss his own ´Skulls and Bones´ membership during the 2004 presidential campaign and of course he had also no comment on his ´brothers´ G.W. Bush's ´Skulls and Bones´ activities. Perhaps ´W.´ did not need a ´remote control´ during the TV debates at all since Kerry simply knew the red lines...:D

Im not resorting to this one upmanship caper with you Popeye, but I havent read a book for a lot longer than that. I get those talking books out from the Library and have the story read to me.:D Actually before TV became a big thing I use to listen to the radio dramas, and i really miss it. I dont have cable or satellite TV, but I do tune in and listen to the docos on discovery, sports and films.
