Doesnt really help you doing the program you scetched out. It is not possible.
See any other special forces training. Nothing is like this. (and it doesnt really prepare you well for soldiering either)

i am pretty sure the 16min thing is without rucksack,which is HARD but prolly normal for a Chinese SF.30kg 16min 5km just dont add up,unless you are superman. but it is true that PLA soldiers tend to outperform their western counterparts when it comes to long distance run cuz they grow up chasing rabits and hounds in the mountains lmao.

So i thought it would be around 16:45. And the PLASF is better at long distance run is not becuse of chasing rabbits.... a lot of sf member actually went to college and grew up in the city...... the reason that they run faster long distance is because they run their ass of everyday... plz dont do make generlization statment like that plz... thats like me saying all the african-american athlete run fast because their ancestor grow up being chased by lions on the African grasslands....

ok I dont know how it works cuz I personally dont run that much, but he told me that he can exceed the requirment for 5k with 25k and rifle by a bit over 3 minutes, and the basic requirment for 5k run with weights is 20 mins. So i thought it would be around 16:45. i wasnt talkin about SF i was talkin about PLA infantry. its like saying a lot of american soldiers used to do weight trainingbefore they join the army that's y they are fairly robust strength wise but less competent in cardio. and soldiers are more slim and agile, better endurance, while europeans are stronger in muscle strength and can prolly carry more load.

ok without weights any1 can run it in 23 minutes, my high schoom cross country teammates all can do 18 or less for varisty. I was 180 ibs and i did 5k in 18:45 within 3 weeks of training.
GUYS being able to run a long distance in good speed just takes lots of constant practice, with enough milage everyday ANY1 can run the 5k under 20 mins, and if you run 30km everyday... thats a lot of milage base.

btw we should stop talking about running this is not a cross country forum lol

I have seen some freakish things in the rurals of China. I remember visiting an old Buddist temple up the mountain, and to get up there, you need to climb a long winding steps, perhaps there are at least a few hundred steps. The exact number of steps have some mythical numerological meaning for the Buddists. So there I was going up the stairs with my camera and this old lady passed me. On her shoulders she had this big wooden bar and suspended on the bar are two plastic paint sized pails filled with rice. I have a good idea how heavy is a sack of rice, and this old lady is speedily going up the steps with two pails of rice. And that is not all, there is this old guy behind her with two pails of rice hung across the bar over his shoulder, keeping up with her. Obviously both are supplying rice to the temple monks.

The rural people are all like that, they live and carry things like this as part of their daily lives whether the sun is steaming hot or the winds are chilly cold. The people look skeletal but their lean thin muscles look like they're made of steel fiber.

apparently in some places rural ppl in China can carry up to 50kg or even more while walking long distances...that's more than what ranger school entry test requires. i read on the news that during the earthquake disaster relief some soldiers were carrying up to 50kg of supplies. consider the conditions such as the altitude,falling rocks,fatigue,aftershocks...that's pretty damn hard. which is why they had to send one of PLA's best unit there.

this is bullshit and if any of did your military service or did some actual training you would see that!

5k with pack in 16 minutes :roll:
did i say anything about the taining program, hmm well did i, well read again i didnt. i just said that you bad a bad comparison of using an athelete and a special forces soldier fitness level. and you be suprised what a body can do, one section of the great wall was near vertical and very hard to climb, yes climb not walk or hike. most people struggled, but there were a group of locals running up and down carrying supplies to run their little sovenier shops on the top of the mountain. their were alot of fit people of all nationality but by half way you could hear them gasping for air, so if one cannot do it doesnt mean another cant

  天黑得伸手不见五指,只有走路的声音。突然,3发信号弹直射云端,把山间照得雪亮,队员们借助光线,才看清自己脚下万丈深渊,让人毛骨悚然。

  挑战极限的训练比这更加艰苦,4天只允许吃两顿饭……

  第一天是负重体能训练。早上起床,队员被分成5人一组,肩上扛着直径20厘米,长5米的松木,穿作战靴进行5000米越野。

  第二天是跑“意志”训练。每人背着35公斤重的背囊进行3个小时的负荷极限训练!跑不动的爬,爬不动的在臭水沟里举弹药箱。三个小时结束,教官宣布开饭,把一只只活鸡活兔扔到队员们面前,命令:“不允许借助任何物品,每组一根火柴,每人一只活鸡、活兔,自己扒皮,然后用军用水壶煮了吃,时间40分钟。”

  第三天是逆水行舟。5人的配合是顺利完成任务的保证,水性不好的队员看着汹涌的江水,有些恐惧。这其实又是一场力量与胆识的较量。一天的划艇训练,所有人的手臂都肿了,腰直不起来。

  第四天是极限战术。两小时的负重体能,除了自己带的35公斤的背包,每个人还必须加25公斤重的物品。头顶烈日,几乎要晒爆队员们的心脏,脚下的路面像是在燃烧。不知跑了多远,到达终点时,脚上早已磨出了血泡,最多的有14个。

  接下来是战术训练。所有的人全部卧倒,低姿匍匐前行,目标是漫长的4公里战区,几名队员“受重伤”被抬下去。突然,教官让所有人站起来马上吃饭,队员们已经两天没有吃饭了。地上,大部分人爬不动,大家相互帮助才能站起身来,有的队员衣服爬烂了,有的手脚到处都是血。

  所谓的开饭,是每人领到一盒饼干,两根火腿肠。大家来到一个臭水沟旁。沟中漂浮着已长满蛆的死猪、死老鼠,水面上到处是大便,成群结队的苍蝇在水沟上狂舞,刺鼻的臭味铺天盖地而来。正在大家掩鼻时,身后的炸点又响了。教官命令:“下沟隐蔽前进!”大家机械地跳进臭水沟里,沟里的臭水几乎淹到了嘴边,苍蝇飞来飞去撞在了人的脸上。队员们在死猪和死老鼠的尸体间趟水前行。这时,教官命令:“部队立即停下,原地开饭!”

Thats some selection training for the special police unit. And i think most member wont be able to read that i think....

i thought there are a lot of Chinese on this forum...o well i am not even a Chinese citizen anymore. anyways my point is that they never reveal any real substance in these articles. sure now i know the spec ops training is hardcore to the max, but i still have no idea about what their actual professional development entail,like what second language they learn, or what skills they must acquire. what they've showed us is basically a intensified version of infantry training.

ps. i never knew sinodefence forum had a happy bday alarm. awesome stuff
