Chickens were first domesticated in southeast area, so yes they will do fine in Cambodia.

What I was thinking was that these chicken have thick feather that they might not adapt to hot climate.

A lot of different types of chickens. You just need to find a breed suitable for warm climates. The super fat ones here in North America doesn't taste good, not suitable for any climate, and are filled with antibiotics. Just don't get those.

Chicken and pork in the US are just so bland - complete lack of actual "chickeny" or "porky" flavor. Unless heavy sauced/seasoned/battered, chicken here tastes more or less like cardboard.

I won't be hard on cardboard, at least it got texture, chicken not so much.
I think it applies to most foods in North America, particularly tomatoes, strawberries and milk.
