As much as som eo fthe sinophiles here would wish otherwise, the PLAN doe snot have and will not have the ability supress US Submarines to get troops ashore on Taiwan. The USN simply has to big of a head start and is to well funded.
With no real hope of victory, why not bypass the US Navy's blockade ability completely. The PLAAF should be able to keep air corridors open even with USAF and cruise missile attrition attacks.
These corridors are perfect for a WiGE borne invasion force. The short distance betwen the mainland and Taiwan gives the WiGEs the ability to cross the distance in minutes, and at the same time these revolutionary craft are not tied down to airfeilds. Not really a plane, not really a boat a WiGE (Wing in Ground Effect) landing craft can carry a heavy load at airplane speeds but does not need a runway just some water. The USN cannot torpedoe them and they are to low for missiels fired from BVR.
