That's because Oedosoldier tweets in Japanese but Google Translate sometimes try to translate as Chinese.

The term “landing ship”, 登陆舰, seems misleading. These ships do not run onto the beaches. Rather they are motherships for real amphibious assault assets. So amphibious assault carrier or mothership, 两栖攻击母舰, seems most accurate.
I think the Amphibious Assault Carrier is more appropriate. I totally agree with your Chinese translation. 两栖攻击母舰
But do the media in China use this term "两栖攻击母舰" ??
A quick search in Baidu found no such exact term, instead Tencent uses this term "两栖攻击舰" for the 075 as in:
"The first 075 amphibious assault ship was launched"

Baidu Encyclopedia has entry under "两栖攻击舰" for this class of warship (incl. Type 075), and there clearly mentions: 两栖攻击舰 （Amphibious assault ship）-- nowhere mentions about carrier or mothership "母舰"
