ok so basically its ready to sail

now I cant wait to see Type 075 + Type 071 LPD in same shot sailing

this is a historic moment

I am still waiting for that photo of the dual carriers CV-16 and CV-17

if we get to see LHD + LPD shot + CV-16 + CV-17 shot 2020 will have been a good year

Are they going onto sea trial? Then make space for the launch for the Thailand's type 071 ship?

Yes, or make space for the Pakistan 054A/P.

You won't see this ship back here though once she begins her trials, since its not convenient to wind down again the river back here. When the ship is on trials, its new base will be on the HDZ shipyard on Changxing island, not far or neighboring the Jiangnan shipyard. That's where the 071s moor when they are in trials. That's where test ship 892 with its dual sided radar is moored. Its much easier to go in and out to the sea from the mouth of the Yangtze from Changxing island. So once the ship is on trials, the photo bonanzas will stop, and next it will be from an airline flying over the spot, or from ships passing through the river, much like the way ships are spotted in Jiangnan.

I do have to wonder just how many additional hulls are still planned for at this stage, given how this class of ships basically has a more capable successor design lined up already even before the first ship of its class has entered trials.

When newer ships are available, the older ships will be sold to other countries. Like the US did after WW II with plenty of unused ships.
