075 LHD thread

I just realized that most of the second hull (modules above the water line) are not in dry dock. It would explain my confusion on the official launch ceremony photos. So when those modules on dock side has been completed, the next photos we'll see of the second hull will likely be up to the hanger deck. We might see the launch of the second hull before Spring Festival.

075 is about 10% longer than 071 (230 vs 210m)
071 profile is just too sleek and slender as compared to 075.

075 is longer than 071.

It just looks shorter in that photo because of the perspective of the camera.

I predict 36,000 tons and 28 helicopters

Hull 1 is where Hull 2 is now

So 3 months from now we are into December 2019

Basically if they push it the second unit can be launched before end of 2019

First sighting of Hull 1 was April 2019

Basically we just went from zero to 2 x LHD launched in 8 months

The Canberra class looks just as great as any other LHD out there to be honest. The designers for it obviously sees the merit for designing the hull the way it looks now.
