A Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC), attached to a landing ship flotilla with the South China Sea Fleet under the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, approaches the well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship Jing'gangshan (Hull 999) in waters off the Xisha Islands during the maritime coordinative training from March 6 to 11, 2019. The widths of the hovercraft and the mother ship dock difference less than 1 meter. With its two high-power air propellers on the rear, the direction and speed are extremely difficult to control. A tiny mistake may cause deadly collision accidents. (eng.chinamil.com.cn/Photo by Liu Jian)

They are not wasting anything. They are conducting operations so they become proficient at operating the LCAC at sea.

Yes my point being we are yet to see after a decade of operation the Chinese LCAC entering and leaving the well deck of the LPD with any load let alone a full load

Which brings into the question whole amphibious assault capability’s of PLAN

Seeing that would require being inside the 071 while it’s on some sort of mission...

The chances of that is really low. Most PLA photos are taken outside of normal activity. If it is normal activity + internal view, it is almost certainly going to be for a documentary.

We only got photos of the loaded torp tubes in the submarines because of documentaries. To get picture of the loaded LCACs inside the 071 would probably require similar documentaries. But documentaries about submarine force sells much better than documentaries about LPDs. Most people watching CGTN don’t even know what a LPD is or what it does.

No one serious would think it brings anything into question. That’s like believing the submarine’s torpedo ability is in question because you haven’t seen the loaded tubes. Concering over that is unnecessary.
