I thought that satellite photo might be useful as well, but the clouds and blurriness make it difficult to judge which end the bow is facing.

OTOH, the photo from your post #7042 is much clearer and seems to show the bow of the suspected 055 (no. 5 overall, or JN no. 3) facing inwards

Hmmm. Now I wonder which unit that’s in the green circle, assuming they hadn’t rotated it 180 degrees for whatever reason. The Weibo user’s posts show that 101 has been (intermittently?) at its home port since at least mid-August.

Type 055 doing was it was designed and built to do

Also China needs practice formation sailing with a full strength carrier strike group with SSN and tankers

A lot of moving parts and lots can go wrong

Practice makes perfect

They are not actually praticing formation, they are actually hiding from typhoon

Is this from a reconnaissance satellite, it looks like the CV is being tracked from above wherever it goes

I believe this was taken by a commercial satellite, and they are not being tracked, since there are no water ripples, the ships were anchored away from docks to avoid typhoon
