Overall pause, 054A production has ended without an immediate follow-on too.

I would be more interested if the shipyards have a follow through in terms of work, not in terms of succeeding ship class.

One of the main producers of the Type 054A, Hudong Zhonghua, is now completely tied up making Type 075s. I don't see HDZ doing 054B until their run of 075s is over. HDZ is also looking to build the world's largest LNG carrier and such a ship would mean huge boasting credentials for HDZ as a top ranked ship builder.

I like to see what sort of followup work Guandong Huangpu has, as that shipyard apparently might have completed the last Type 056A. So this shipyard has no follow up order for succeeding corvette or frigate, but I may expect the Pakistan 054A/P to start on this shipyard.

Guandong Huangpu is probably still working through a large order of coast guard ships placed several years ago. If I recall correctly, China is in the midst of an unprecedented expansion of the coast guard fleet, the reason being patrols of the South China Sea's is best conducted by a civilian agency. In fact, I think Huangpu has been building more coast guard ships than naval vessels for a while now.

True. Forgot to add Huangpu also does many of the PLAN auxiliary such as the military tugs, the ELINT ships and the sonar surveillance ships.

I wonder how many of the coast guard version of the 054A is made.

I know, I know, this is a Photoshop job. It's nonetheless a very nice artistic rendering of a near future... All ships in the image are taken from real photographs, but with filters applied to achieve the washed-out look...

According to this article, that cites sohu, QC280 is still not totally localized in china (> 95%). Does anyone knows if this number is actual or has china managed to localize completely QC280 ???

Who knows what that means. Very few things are 100% Chinese or German or Russian. Some components can be imported. Even F-35 is "discovered" to have some Chinese components in it.

Fitting area.

101 might be getting additional equipment, or existing equipment being repaired or being looked over. Ship has a lot of new electronics, this won't be surprising.
2nd 055 is being fitted, but she's also been on trials, so reexamining and repair of new equipment, like the electronics, are possible at this point.
DDG 154 is likely there for a minor refit, particularly with electronics. Various 052D has been returning there and the pennant numbers there keep changing. So its 154's turn. I say the ship is getting new equipment.

Why keep changing pennant numbers? Are they swapping pennant numbers among ships?
