An announcement by Hudong Shipyards, Shanghai in July 27 hinted that 054A #32 would be launched in July 31.

The announcement said: Two new ships would be launched at about 17:45 to 19:15, July 31.

So they may be 054A #32 and 054AP #03 for Pakistan, or 054AP #03 and #04.

We'll see them tomorrow.

I guess we will see soon now anyway but could that also mean a commercial hull? One 054AP appears to have been launched today.

If the ship launched in question is this ship on top, thanks to ying1978/CDF, its not the 054A/P, but indeed 32nd 054A for the PLAN. That misidentification however is easy because both /A and /AP are made and launched in parallel on the same shipyard.

Which is AP which is not AP?

The PLAN ship still has the Type 382 but the rear hanger has bezel corners for small phase array to be inserted there. Likely to be missile target illuminator.

This is a dual launch indeed --- 32nd 054A along with 3rd 054A/P. Sorry this might be triple launch, the 054A/P next to the 32nd 054A is not the same as the 054A/P next to the third 075.

Hudong launches are not as complete as Huangpu launches. The Hudong launched 054A doesn't have the illuminators installed unlike the Huangpu ship.

What is the catamaran hulled vessel to the left of the frigate in the floating dock? The paint color says it’s a naval vessel and the size of the radar mast suggest it is not an ordinary support vessel but expected to carry a substantial amount of radar or other monitoring antenna.

SURTASS thingy, I forgot the Type number for it at the moment. Some of these operate from the naval base in Hainan.

I think that's a trimaran. They were playing around with this design a few years back, not sure if the same ship refitting or another new one.

I don't think its the same one. The other boat is for S/R. This one is probably for sonar surveillance or SURTASS.

Compare to the ship here. Still lacks the winch and the tow but these can be things that is part of the fitting list.

The ship on the farthest left next to the SURTASS also has my interest as it seems to be a research vessel with a large winch on the back that can be meant to slip something out from the hole on the back. One suggestion is that it can be a fisheries survey vessel and the back is meant for a trawling net to haul fish from the depths.

This shipyard is never at lost for interesting things.
