Hi so if we go by the looks of hangar door what kind of helicopter will go into it
if possible to reply
thank you
That will depend on the decision of Pakistan Navy, my bet is Z9C or Z9D from China. Other helicopters in the similar weight class should be able to be deployed, as attached list below:-

Hi will this 054/ p be coming back for further refits like radars and other gadgets or is it not completely handover to PN for operational duties
if possible to answer
thank you
Hi,

This ship would start its testing & trial phase now. It would be put thru its paces and once the manufacturer and the buyer are staisfied with the results---it would be handed over to the pak navy---.

It still needs to fit its radars and other gadgets so its not going to leave for a while. Then it will have to do trials and fix things that trials uncover. So it will be awhile before it leaves for the PN.

we need European helicopters

no more of those short legged Z9Cs even if they are free

China does not put alot of emphasis on rotary wing

Type 054AP needs a dedicated helicopter + UAV

Hi,

The first trial start from the instant the ship is pushed into the water. That is the first step in its sea worthiness. It is tested for leaks and water tight compartments---. The physical parts of the ship will be put thru the tests and while that is going on---there would be work still going on, on the ship---.

Interesting chart of frigate/corvette construction build.

Whether this chart is based on true knowledge, we cant say at this moment...........but time will tell as when new ships are completed we will be able to make a comparison of pennant numbers against this list.

One thing though I noticed there does seem to be errors on the list as it is currently shown..........i.e. there are some pennant numbers shown where the older 053 ships will be replaced by 054B Frigates, but the actual pennant numbers are shown in the 054A Frigate column.

It would of been nice to of seen a time frame on this list as well.

Interestingly, I have also seen Chinese navy construction plans for this decade on another website, and again the list appears to of been created by a Chinese person, who seemed to of gone to great lengths to specify how much of a percent each ship would be completed in a given year.

If I can find it again i'll post it just for reference!

Points noticed on that chart were that only 1 new carrier would be built between now and 2020.
Construction of 055 Destroyer/Cruiser to begin in 2013.
By 2020 I think the list said there would be at least 8 055's completed.

The type 052D construction would continue aside the type 055, and in the latter part of the decade a further improved version of this class the 052E would be built around 2017 onwards.

Like I said, the charts could be a Chinese fanboys creation, BUT it will be interesting to see if they become realised to be true.
Its true now.
Its mid-2013 post.
