Two high-resolution magazine scans... The second one is a re-post of a lost image.

I take this as that Third Destroyer Division is finally getting their due. They never led a Gulf of Aden task force before in the destroyer level because the Sovremennys were never allowed to go with these deployments. They are currently in a weak state, with only 131 the only 052D, two old Sovremenny 138 and 139, and the other two, 136 and 137 in refit and trials. I expect them to get three more 052D in the near future, 132, 133, and 134, all three the extended version.

131 is the ship currently leading the current task force.

Remember the Type 055 with its bent sonar bow near four large structures ahead of the drydock they will put the carrier modules in? Now there is an 052D there, and the structures are getting painted. Like the 055 before it, the 052D is getting its sonar fitted into its bulb. The structures are superstructures for large commercial ships and they are getting painted. The carrier modules are ahead of the 052D.

Its likely to be 156 with the Sixth Destroyer Division, ESF

If it ain't 156 Zibo, there are two 052DL currently in trials for the ESF, 132 Suzhou and 157 Nanning. Would be news if any of the two have been commissioned already.

122 Tangshan is another 052DL that is ready to get into service, maybe after or do a dual commissioning with 121 Qiqihar with the 10th.

Speaking of 122 Tangshan, here's the latest image, taken today.

Cool. What are the chances she will have a dual commissioning with 121 Qiqihar as part of the same squadron?

Their squad mate 120 Chengdu recently had live fire drill with 101 Nanchang, the second time this ship has exercised with the Nanchang.

122 Tanshan on the left. The other one, unmarked, might either be 132 Suzhou or 157 Nanning. There is possibility that 162 Huainan may have begun trials.

It has conducted its maiden trial.
What irks me is 121. Just like other units launched from dalian, its taken way longer to be operationalized than ships launched from jiangnan. I'm not even sure if it has entered service yet.
