052C/052D Class Destroyers

Two images of 052DLs. The first one is a unit on sea trials, and the second image shows Zibo (淄博).

Its a Z-9W, they carry an optional roof mounted optical sight.

052DL being trialed. This ship could be the future 162 Nanning. The ship beside the 052DL is our old friend 167 Shenzhen. Both these ships have the same top mast antenna, which the 054A hasn't got. Via PDF.

I want to make a note on this. It appears the 2nd Destroyer Division might be having a vacation in Sanya, which is the home of the 9th Destroyer Division as part of typhoon avoidance. This can be during the time when there were typhoons crossing through the Philippines into the South China Seas and towards the South China coast. The two unmarked 052DLs are probably the ones destined for the 2nd and are being trialed by the 2nd. The 2nd is usually stationed at Zhanjiang.

Hard to say. It would be better if we can view the test from the front with some close up and still shots.

2 missiles were launched. The video repeated the same launch sequence footage as if 4 missiles were fired. Can not affirm if this is a quad pack test.

Clearly 3 missiles are launched and then the video cuts. I have no idea why you think it's two.

I get the impression it was cold launched, with the missiles firing just as they reach bridge height. But better to see a higher quality, smoother video, and one shot in the front.
