I was wondering...Does Taiwan have any fortifications agianst ampihbious assault by the Chinese? From what I have read, the prime territory for ampibous landing on Taiwan is a relatively small strip of land in the Norhteast section of the island. Much of the rest is mud flats. Several ROCAF bases have protection for the facilites and planes, and many of the Taiwanese Pac-3 and Skybow batteries are underground, as well as Hsiung Feng batteries, and I know that Kinmen and Matsu are extensively fortified, but are there any fortifications on the Taiwanese mainland that are intended to help repulse an amphibiuous assault?
