SYRIAN CIVIL WAR
This, Syrian Civil War, thread is limited to reports and posts regarding military operations conducted, and political initiatives advanced, by the Assad Regime Coalition and Free Syrian Army forces, forces that, despite their political/ideological/sectarian differences, have vested interests in maintaining the national integrity of a Syrian state.
It is not intended to include reports regarding either ISIL or anti-ISIL operations.
The Syrian Civil War may be a more significant, complex, and interesting, international phenomenon, than is ISIL, and with more far-reaching ramifications, as it has become the conduit of Russia's prominent re-entry into the Middle-East diplomatic (political-military) arena!
