Shenyang next gen combat aircraft thread

Anyone else speculated if the Shengyang next gen fighter jet is using WS-19? The 2D TVC seems to suggest that. However if it is truly WS-19 the size of the entire fighter jet might be smaller than people might think.

I was under the impression that WS-19 was designed with 2D TVC. And it is not always easy to plug-n-play completely different types of nozzles
No, WS-19 will have a normal 3D nozzle on the J-35A and may or may not have a 2D nozzle on the J-35. The nozzles on J-XDS are likely not the same as the physical TVC 2D nozzles shown at Zhuhai, I doubt they'll put a technologically inferior nozzle on a 6th generational aircraft as it'll likely feature fluidic thrust vectoring for better stealth and lighter weight.

Not sure if this was posted before, but here is a patent excerpt for a morphing DSI possibly used on J-50, and also i suspect possibly on the J-36 top intake as well since this is the latest technology and would be unusual not to use such advances in a next generation fighter in order to derive every possible capability increase over previous generation fighters.

It can’t be WS-19. If it is then the plane is severely underpowered. It also does not make sense from a logistics point of view since it can’t share engines with J-36.
