Murasame is not a match for 052D, but still a very respectable warship. Basically an 054A frigate with GT propulsion for better speed. Bigger hangar, probably better endurance too.

It's a positive development but I wouldn't read too much into it. They're not exactly practicing coordinated ASW or anything -- just signalling, basic formations, etc. Small steps.

Did anyone see this one? Its better to click on the link as it connects to Twitter and shows a video. This is from Xinhua's Japanese account, and it shows a scaled down model stainless steel carrier complete with tiny J-20 models, Z-19 attack helicopters, functioning elevators, rotating radar, spring loaded catapult and rubber band catch.

There are news circling that in the last PM visit Pakistan requested Chinese for some used DDGs on lease along side new 054A/Ps.... but no info about type....

We all know the used DDGs are 051B/C/052B or Sovs....

Any guesses...

Possible they might want to buy or lease the two 052Bs that have been stripped. In a similar vein, someone at the CDF reported that there is a Bangladeshi delegation in talks that may possible acquire the two 054 that has been stripped.

I can imagine how export and refitted 052B and 054 might appear.
