Not sure what the following means, but it was posted by a quite credible member of CJDBY (星海军事) on a thread talking about J-XY/J-15:

It talks about a certain "machine" (i.e. aircraft or related system) leaving the assembly line and preparing for final assembly (help needed for accurate translation). Could this be related to the upcoming J-15 upgraded variant or perhaps even the naval J-XY?

My interpretation is that a certain model moved from parallel production line to one single independent production line. Seems to be the J-15 to me because the J-XY couldn't have been on a parallel production line at this stage. Or better still, ask our own @Interstellar!

Should be 'moved from shared production line'

一句话,某型机即将由共线生产的状态独立出来由新车间完成部总装
Aircraft type x will be built in separate assembly line instead of (as today and before) being assembled on a shared line (with other variant).
共线: shared (assembly) line
独立: independent (separate)
新车间: new (lit. house/building) assembly line.
总装: Final (lit. total) assembly
Most likely J-15. It is hard to imagine that FC-31 (J-XY) prototypes can be or would be assembled on the same line as any Flanker variants as they don't share anything (tooling) in common.

  • Very possible for two carriers to show up together at the naval parade
  • Dalian will pause carrier construction for a bit to upgrade facilities in preparation for CVNs
  • 003's modules may start being moved to a drydock this year
  • He personally believes 003 will have conventional propulsion, not nuclear
  • Eight 071s have been confirmed, 075 modules have also begun appearing
  • The last two 071s were ordered alongside three 075s and he thought 075s would be built first but HDZH decided to do the exact opposite so 075 is appearing later than initially predicted
  • There is an enlarged 075 under development
  • Ninth and tenth 055 may appear this year
  • 055A not yet ready, blueprints are still being drawn up
  • 052D will continue, the PLAN put in extra orders
  • 052E's systems are still being tested but if it doesn't get an IFEP and only a partial IEP, it could appear before 055A
  • Export 054As beginning construction
  • 054B, in his view, though late, will still arrive -- he suggests the reason for lateness is a design change from partial IEP to IFEP
  • A bunch of 724s will be built by Shanghai and Guangzhou yards in consideration of the latest batch of 071s and imminent 075s
  • Second domestic Zubr should be finished this year, future production depends on how fast Russia delivers engines
  • Large semi-submersible mothership being researched, four will be needed
  • 056-builders are finishing up existing orders, no new orders placed
  • Railgun will be made smaller for active deployment
  • A new torpedo is ready for service
  • Direction of EM weaponry development includes CIWS and anti-torpedo systems although they may not appear this year
  • Nuclear subs accelerated -- 09V coming soon, 09VI won't be far behind
  • JL-3 development progressing very well
  • JNCX's nuclear icebreaker is leading the way for China's efforts in marine nuclear propulsion
  • He believes China will adopt a 3-step process for nuclear propulsion; first is nuclear offshore engineering vessels, second is nuclear special-purposes and auxiliary vessels like icebreakers, third is CVNs -- China's currently at step 2 according to him

He personally believes 003 will have conventional propulsion, not nuclear
So this finally shows that those claims are his own opinion and not something authoritative from insider circles.

There is an enlarged 075 under development
Thus suggesting that there are two variants of the 075, built sequentially? I guess the earlier prediction of 35K tons refers to the smaller variant.

Large semi-submersible mothership being researched, four will be needed
Very interesting; so this indicates that the semi-submersible "arsenal ship" is actually a real project.

Railgun will be made smaller for active deployment
Is the railgun aboard the landing ship the "bigger" prototype or the already-downsized version?

A new torpedo is ready for service
Interesting; does this refer to the Yu-10? Isn't the Yu-10 already in service and has been for a few years?

Nuclear subs accelerated -- 09V coming soon, 09VI won't be far behind
Did FZGFZY elaborate on what he meant by "coming soon"? If construction started in late 2017 as predicted by Henri K., it most likely won't be launched until the early 2020s and kept strictly confidential until a few years after.

JL-3 development progressing very well
Did he elaborate on what stage of development it is in? Observers are debating whether the November test actually involved a test-firing or not. Some claim it was only a pop-up test but that would contradict Bill Gertz's claim that the test was detected by US early warning satellites.

Thanks for the translation jobjed.

His word is that the next generation LHD/LHA would be an enlarged 075. 075 here is just an convenient label, not the actual class.

Is the railgun aboard the landing ship the "bigger" prototype or the already-downsized version?

His word is that the railgun will be further miniaturized and use cases includes CIWS and anti-torpedo.

He refuses to give any details in the post, OPS I guess.

His word is that expecting offhand mentions of the boats by state media. No further details.

His word is that the development is optimistic. No further details.

Lieutenant General
Who was the guy who posted that PLAN list from around 2012?

It predicted the 2 x 12,000 cutters and also Type 055

It had build rates new classs of warships

I would like to see how much of that was true 7 years later

Anyone have the English version of that post ?

It was so far ahead of its time and a lot of it turned out to be true
