A pair of 054A (579 Handan and 530 Xuzhou) have transited Tsushima Strait and entered Sea of Japan, worth pointing out 530 Xuzhou has a large covered object on its helicopter deck.

Why they called this ship PLANS Suizhou minesweeper? The former PLANS Suizhou #834 (retired) was a minesweeper, but the current #834 is a semi-submersible transport ship aka a float-on/ float-off transport ship.

Obviously there is a mis-identification of name for current #834 and previous #834 (retired). So my question still remains is this a follow-up ship or the lead ship with its pennant number changed?

The first PLANS #834 Suizhou was a type 6610 minesweeper.
第1代随州舰:6610型基地扫雷舰,舷号834,已退役。

Moreover, the current PLANS Suizhou is numbered 624, a type 056A commissioned in 2020, in service with South Sea Fleet.
第2代随州舰056A型轻型导弹护卫舰,舷号624,于2020年服役于中国人民解放军南部战区海军。

Its a new hull called "Yinmahu". Chinamil corrected their reporting.

Excerpts from an unknown source. They summarize the progress and history of various electromagnetic launcher projects. The tidbits reveal that China has been working on the technology since at least 2007, when it formed a R&D group on EM launching technology (which I assume is headed by Mr. Ma). By 2016, the group's EM catapult had prevailed over steam catapult in a competition. The same group is also responsible for underwater EM launchers (presumably for submarines), a certain long-range EM launcher (railgun?), and others. The group is also currently working on an EM satellite launcher (?).

Please help with the technical translation, as my Chinese is limited.

There's a point where it mentions what this group is currently investigating/researching (right after 3rd yellow marker):
600 km/hr maglev tech (or well, levitation), something at 800-100 km/hr (also train???) and something like a electromagnetic cannon to launch smaller satelites (at some speed of 270 to 510 meters a second).

The chinese in question if people want to throw it into google translate:
目前正在进行时速600公里轨道交通的高速磁悬浮直线电机研制,时速800-1000公里的高速磁浮测试线原理样机研制和末速度280米/秒~510米/秒的中小卫星电磁推射的原理样机研制。
