H-20 bomber (with H-X, JH-XX)

We might see some medium or long range bombers soon, but a large JH-XX may not appear. These new medium/long range bomber will be designated H-XX with-out the J.

JH means Fighter Bomber (J=fighter H=bomber).

Any bomber bigger than J-16 (which by itself is a JH [fighter bomber] aircraft) wouldn't be doing any aerial engagement. IMO we will see a medium stealth H-XX replacing H-6, and a new long range stealth H-XX.

Oh please ... that is an even more ridiculous idea than your proposal to convert the J-10 to a VSTOL variant like the F-35.

Please do your homework.
I think he is thinking along the lines of Boeing’s proposal during the cold war era to convert the 747 into a cruise missile carrier if my memory serves me right. Still it is a silly idea bearing in mind such a bomber would light up like a beacon even if it does not need to approach the target by launching thousands of kilometers away.

Is it technically feasible to convert AN-225 into a bomber? I think if China ordered AN-225 from Ukraine and received TOT. With a team of talented Chinese engineers, it doesn't take long to create a new bomber from a transport plane.
Short answer :yes

Long answer : Why the heck in all that is holy would you want to do that ? Practically any bomber build from the ground up will be better suited for the job than a repurposed AN-225.

Same source said that the first flight is about a year away...back in March 29, 2019. Not sure how credible this "MIRAGE10" is, however.

Exactly my concern ... neither I know this poster as a credible big-shrimp, nor dies this sketch look realustically (IMO) ... maybe @huitong can explain?

Interesting update on the H-20 and while this sketch should not be overrated - most likely and quite commonly for such a secret project in China it is more a placeholder - the description says that "it's a new control surfaces configuration for all-wing large aircraft that is used on an "next - generation aircraft".

I used that drawing to replace an old CG drawing which was two years old. The assumption is that the new drawing is a little bit more "real" than the old one. BTW the text above the drawing was apparently from a (recent?) news script, not from a paper.

The static test airframe could be for the KJ-600 AWACS. We just cannot tell.
