i recall earlier this year there were a whole lot of J10 in CAC then they were all gone, supposedly all delivered. Is it really possible CAC just after less than 6 months produces a full brigade of more J10? Did i miss something?
Lockheed Martin/General Dynamics at it's peak could produce 30 F-16s a month, I can't see why CAC can't do the same with experience (especially with WS-10 issues seemingly fixed) and economies of scale. Ultimately there are still brigades (all be it they are frontline units) that operate J-7s and older Flankers.

Keep in mind there were more in those hangers. For all we know they have vacated those for more J-20s.

such a bummer that J20s are hidden in the hangers, we wont know how many or how few there are any time soon.

not saying it is impossible, but is that a reasonable theory to explain what we are seeing?

There were at least 8 or 9 spotted in January. Anyone’s guess how many there are now. We’d have to check the Anshan airport for periodic updates.

Can anyone please explain what's this Tweet is all about?

... maybe I'm wrong in the translation - as per "AVIC First Aircraft Design and Research Institute posted: 'It's close to submission date, we are ready" - why is a "submission date" a hint for either the H-20 or J-35? IMO a "unveiling date" would be much more interesting.

that's just a way of saying it's time to turn in the exam and to be evaluated for performance

Even though I wish it is H-20, they are most likely talking about J-35. It matches with the official reveal earlier this year that another next generation fighter aircraft will fly this year.

although I agree is most likely to be j-21/35, but what does it to do with 1st Institute? they are going to develop a 2nd fighter/bomber after jh-7? or this is something else? if it's j-21/35 why not posted by sac?

Yes, but WHO posted this? Is is again an individual blogger or poster at Weibo? Is it something like an official announcement?

Yes, I would like to believe in this rumour as indeed the "smoke is getting thicker" and where is smoke there must be a fire ... but we have been fooled too often before.
