For those who are interested ... in the current issue:

DRAGON FIGHTERS
Although certain elements of its fighter force remain dated in comparison to other modern air arms, China has introduced an impressive number of new types, with the next generation already under test. Andreas Rupprecht reviews the Chinese fighter force

No KJ-500

Sadly not ... to admit after only two second of thinking I could post another 10-15 aircrafts or versions to be included. However it could only ben exclusive collection of certain types.

I for myself would divide it in two separate posters: one for the PLAAF and one for the PLANAF ... and if possible including each and every operational type and version. Most likely it would then however be much too large.

An other option could be a type-specific poster for all J-10-Regiments, all J-11/Su-30MKK-Regiments and so on ...

Here's currently a collage in the making designed by my friend Tom Cooper and his partner.

This is so far only a teaser, a preview, since the sizes and some designations need some additional corrections.

The aircraft are not supposed to be to scale, right? Because I don't think J-20 is that much smaller than JH-7...

And it is also a little weird that the artist chose to keep some of the formation stripes on planes like KJ-2000 and 200 even though they only bore them during the 2009 parade.

Also, I think Y-8G is stand off ECM rather than SIGINT.

Good drawings otherwise

Honestly we are just discussing that issue ... and Tom - being a brilliant author and even more artist - can be quite stubborn sometimes.
I already told him that they are wrong, either the J-11, J-8 and JH-7s are way too large (these three match together quite fine) but all others are even more too small in comparison. Right now we are discussing how to handle this, what source is correct for what type and so on .... and after that I really don't think that I can persuade him to add additional types.

I will show You the latest corrected preview when I won this battle ... and I will fight hard !
