In the recent clash against intruders that somehow became deadly, there have been reports from the Indian side regarding Chinese soldiers using various makeshift weapons instead of firearms. Currently there is no verification whether this means rocks like usual or perhaps cold weaponry akin to medieval combat, though I have only noticed shields and batons used by the opposing side previously.
