Are those single-fire rifles in the video?
They don't seem to have recoil, or any bullet ejections at all, and the soldiers cock in new rounds after each shot.

Or it could also be special ammo for training, idk.

The gas piston recoil system has been adjusted to cut off mode, requiring manual cycling for each round fired.

Why they are doing that? I don't know. Likely more CCTV tomfoolery.

There were ejected casings, not in all instances so it's just a view angle issue.

Looks to me like they're firing blanks without a blank adapter attached.
  • The camera angle makes it too dangerous to have live ammo.
  • The blank attachments necessary to cycle properly while using blanks were probably not mounted because it wouldn't look good.
