Aljazeera's article on PLA. Not much new tbh, I am quite amazed at how mass media like Aljazeera still used excuses such as "corruption, favouritism, opaque command structure or lack of combat experience" to justify that PLA's developments are only material-wise. (I especially like how these mass media never even bothered to have someone knew Mandarin to read the dozens of military-reform documents and files published by the PLA)
Let these ignorant WASPS worshiping sheeps basked themselves in sheer ignorance and arrogance so that if and when the inevitable arrives the all but predictable outcome would come as a shock to their collective psyche.

That's because very few information about the PLA is released since PLA is very secretive.

What do you mean very few information? It’s basically everywhere on CNKI and CCTV. As long as you know how to read and listen to Mandarin.I mean like information about it's tactics and stragey as well as brand new equipment on how its made. Also Special Forces. ALL videos by CCTV and others are 100% BS since they're just regular troops that claim to be special forces. In reality the best Chinese forces are kept completly classified.
Very few information about it's organization, strategy and tactics since there is little information. As well as PLASF. PLASF is kept so secret any videos about them are 100% bullshit since they're just regular infantry that claims to be special forces.

The status of Chinese special operations forces is a complex topic just like any other topic related to the Chinese Military. I was gonna type an essay on this but basically:

2015 Reforms + Modernization + Changes to prioritisation + other elements

Most of the special operations brigades in the group armies are just former motorized units that was then turned into special operations brigades during 2015 reforms and slapped with some changes to selection qualities with a filtering process from the army's doctrine changes. Whilst the Special Operations unit that was present during the reforms received prioritisation + expanded man pool
Very few information about it's organization, strategy and tactics since there is little information. As well as PLASF. PLASF is kept so secret any videos about them are 100% bullshit since they're just regular infantry that claims to be special forces.
That's a surface level observation + I am sensing some influence of the stereotype surrounding "It's Chinese secrecy, they're propaganda so they're not going to show it". The CCTV (being state controlled) often portrait a narrative but enforced and built by facts. This just means they hint at it but never acknowledge it.

All of this is from just watching the CCTV with some commentary from veterans lol

There is information, written in Chinese and published in cnki database. You just need to identify the reliable authors from National Defence Academy or specific branch academy to know that they are legit. The official 2015 reforms progress and objectives are also pretty clear-cut for those who understand Chinese jargons and summarize them into concise ones.

PLA never claimed their SF forces to be anything like the NATO Tier One concept since that’s not the doctrine they were following. PLASF are not a unified branch concept, since the mission and specialization of SF forces under army group or HQ levels differ significantly. They are not the paramilitary, convert ops and DA concept involved NATO SF format.

For example, PLARF has its SF dedicated in defending missile silos, securing pre-planned launch positions, perimeter security in RF classified compound and BM transport security detail. While RF’s security forces guard the compound’s perimeter, SF is trained to S&D incoming attackers in the forests, mountain, hill jungle or desert terrains.

GF’s SF is different in the way that army group SF are typically frontline scouts plus commandos with technological supports, trained to fight in complex terrains and neutralize tactical or strategic valuable targets. They do not deviate from the frontline very far and don’t do any HVT assassination on enemy command structure. (Although they do conduct reconnaissance)

SF under HQ command are more classified and has more resources and training at their disposal. They could do more advanced ops such as hunting down or trapping enemy commando units. The famous example is the one during 1979 Sino-Vietnamese War that SRF, or special reconnaissance force, under direct GSD HQ command, lured VPA’s commando unit into a ambush by utilizing an imported Cymbeline Artillery Radar. (The VPA commando, already successfully destroy one set of Cymbeline Radar previously, let their guard down this time and assume the PLA posted the normal infantry and Army Area level SRF for security. Unaware of the presence of the GSD SRF, they were annihilated)
