He had high praise for the build quality, ride, and overall feel, describing it as extremely good value for the money and feeling like German cars that cost twice as much. However, he had various complaints about the software. So I'd think that's an easier fix than an engineering problem.

Drives him insane hearing Nomi all the time. Click a button "X is OFF!", "X is ON!". Also why did they give it a kid's voice? He says that autosteer is a disaster. Wipers don't wipe well enough. NIO pilot drives like an "Asian driver" lol, says that it applies and cuts off power all the time, it doesn't keep a constant power on the road. AutoSteer again, he says is really bad, worse than Tesla. Gets lots of phantom breaks. Says that software UI layout needs some changes because some functions are not logically placed.

On the positives, drive handling is excellent "like a German car", and on noise levels NIO seems to have done an excellent job "by far the quietest car I have ever tested"

To be fair, better half of Chinese voice assistants etc are like that. ;x

more news on N7. 350 to 450k would put it in the same price range as D9 and several higher end local SUVs like Huawei AITO M7 and Li Auto L7. N7 is not just going to be taking market share away from foreign JVs. This thing looks like a huge hit.
