Anyhow, Geely pricing is out on the Panda Mini
LFP battery, just 39.9 to 53.9k RMB, really competing with Wuling Hanguan mini EV here. 9.6 kWh & 17 KWh battery pack tells you all you need to know about its utility. Just your bare minimum "car"

LiAuto L7 getting launched today with pricing from 339.8k RMB

Robosense getting contract from Toyota. Kind of makes me curious given their partnership with BYD and BYD's relationship with FAW and Toyota. Maybe some kind of partnership with smart car is under way here. 10 million units ordered already!

Feifan F7 (Rising Auto) got launched by SAIC and achieved 11,529 orders in 24 hours.
This is quite an impressive looking car. 0 to 100 in 3.7 s.

Very interesting. Cost about the same as BYD Seal. Looks nicer and seems better interior. We will see how the actual driving performs.

During the period of Chinese New Year holiday, the average wait time for Nio's battery swapping service is 13.08 minutes.

Nio's semi-solid-state battery will be available in the first half of 2023. According to the battery manufacturer Welion, the battery will have an energy density of 360 Wh/kg, about twice the average energy density of LFP battery.

Geely is preparing to list its NEV sub-brand Lotus Technology on the NASDAQ.

keep in mind that the density listed is normally the cell density. That comes down significantly when you get to pack level density. LFP safety features allow it to make up some of the difference in density level. And even more, you can make up even more of that density difference when you use it in the car structure like BYD did with CTB tech on blade battery.

Looks like Gotion is teaming up with Inobat to build 40GWh gigafactory in CEE for EVs and ESS. Chinese battery makers are solidifying their technology hold over European market.

yeah, Sodium ion battery is really taking off this year. I think it will be dominant in certain applications by 2025. The complaints over lithium/cobalt mining just annoys me.

look at this. even better than 43% by BYD and Geely from 2021/2022. BYD's super DM numbers will be interesting.

We got more info on two new/updated A00 mini EVs
both look good and cheap. I mean, the market is crowded. Seagull will probably wipe them out in a year.
