ST-1BR demo in Brazil.

Few interesting details:
It looks like that the inside of the ST-1BR/ST3 is incredibly spacious from shots at 2:50 and 3:07, with even 4-6 chairs and a back door for infantry at the rear of the vehicle ? (or maybe the seats are just more confortable seating places for the gun crew during long range road trips). The turret interior also looks like the one of a SP artillery. The ST3 surpasses the Type-11 assault gun in ergonomy and versatility
-Still manual loading, no autoloader despite what looks like an ammo compartment at the rear of the turret

Does anyone know the max range of the ST3 in indirect fire mode ?

Paper specs wise the other 2 vehicles appear to be better but considering the number of vehicles to be procured for this program and the role of the Cascavel in the Brazilian Army the program is replacing, the cost advantage of the ST-1 will be a big factor in the consideration as well as the foreign relations the new Brazilian government is trying to forge.

Ironically I think the victory of Lula actually improved the prospects of the other competitors as Bolsonaro would have likely intervened in the selection process if it appeared likely that the Western candidates were to be selected.

Centauro II still won. Really a no brainer here.

The ST-1BR also looses the amphibious capability, wouldn't this be problematic for the brasilian terrain ?

IIRC the Cascavel wasn't amphibious and the chosen Centauro II isn't amphibious either so I don't think that capability was required by the Brazilian Army.

That and Centauro is just a better product. ST-1BR is a bit outmatched here.

There is no debate here. The C2 is simply a more advanced product. It is the MBT substitute of Italy for inaccessible terrains. The ST-1 on the other hand is a more conventional cheap assault gun. It makes sense if you want to bring a lot of mobile 105 mm guns to the field and if you have actual tanks (ZTQ-15 or ZTZ-99A depending on the terrain for China). Brazil would be better off with the C2.

The ST-3 being offered for Brazil has a bustle autoloader, you can literally see it in the video @siegecrossbow linked. It also can elevate to very high angles as also shown in the video.

So based on technical requirements against threats to Brazil if any.
Depends on what and who Brazil aims to deter.
