It appears to be modular, and the loadout on the display vehicle is indicative of the possibilities. In actual operations, both launcher bays would be loaded with identical pods, in all likelihood. My guess is that the large tubes are around 300mm (give or take) caliber, while the small ones are 122mm.This must be a new type of MLRS from China, shod with two different diameter rockets.
That means it was design and built to fit inside the Y-20 for airborne drop as you mentioned before.Yup, very lightweight platform on a wheeled vehicle optimized for sling or Para drop to support Airborne/light infantry units. A small howitzer or a mortar would do nicely.
