Personally speaking, I prefer Miss Japan 2006:nana:, much better looking than Miss Universe 2007 IMO. Many people agree I am SURE. :D I guess Donald has a different taste.;)

As for the poll, please post a picture of the choice of lady that you think are the most gorgeous.

REMEMBER: NO NUDITY OF ANY KIND. THIS IS NOT THE BEACH.:nono:
AND NO BAD SHOTS.:D;):p

But whatever......Who are the Miss Universe of 2007?
Japan:

Geez, no wonder she won. (last picture)

Miss Japan 2007 isn't all that.
There are others.
Look at our focus country's lady this year.

Hmm, anyone know what tribe was being represented on the last pic?

Brasil:

India:

Korea:

That's all for now.
-----------------
And as I quote Paris Hilton:
"That's hot."

Please help this thread in posting pictures of the ladies along with your pick.

As for my choice, I will post later. I have yet seen it all.

Why is Ms. China so unattractive? Ms. Korea and Japan are both extremely beautiful, and Ms. India is also very beautiful and Ms. Brazil is highly attractive too. But Ms. China appears so plain and oridinary. Does Ms. China get chosen on party loyatly and political views instead of appearance? :lol

Hey FriedRicenSpice is back! :china:

I don't know. Maybe China is trying to show that even normal chicks in China can compete in Miss Universe.

It's obvious that China has different standards and most likely how they choose their representative is different from that of the US where American contestants have to win every contest they enter to get to the top. The only reason you see Miss Japan winning is because they finally got it in their heads (or maybe it's just a fluke) they have to adopt Western standards of beauty in order to win such contests. Not many contestants from the Far East have won because of the different standards. And you'll see everyone who wins Miss Universe will have adopted Western standards. What standards am I talking about? All you have to do is look at Asia-centered forums that have "Pretty Girl" threads. Asian tastes tend to love the petite and thin shapes. Western women are more phsyically statuesque. Is this written in stone? No. Just like some in the US like the anorexics. It doesn't mean they'll be a hit in Asia.

And don't forget that the judges even for Miss Universe are stacked American. And ever since Trump took over, they're all American (maybe they'll throw in a Brit to make it diverse) and a portion of them work for him.

Ah, now it is starting to make a lot more of sense to me. Ms Japan does look very Western indeed, if she had died herself blonde I would have a very difficult time determining her ethnicity. Ms. India also looks very Western, but that is in fact due to the fact that Indian beauty standards are inherently more Western than Asian, which may be due to their Aryan ancestry. Ms. Korea, however possesses very distinctly asian features, especially the eyes, yet she is still very appealing. Chinese beauty standards call for a round face, large, round, double-lidded eyes, small red lips, and very pale skin tone. Ms. China possesses none of those traits.

However, I must point out that at least China is letting their competitor compete in a 2-piece these days...

And thanks for the shout-out Finn. Ah, what better time to get addicted to Sinodef all over again then right before starting college? Jk, just dropping in on some off-topic threads that catch my eye.

AM seems right. Looking at the new Miss World now, she has a more of Western look and statuesque physique than the Chinese contestant for Miss Universe, who in turn looks more "cute". But cute girls seem more the rage with anime obsessed fans these days than those looking like a model centerfold.

the miss china in miss universe contest is a minority tribe from southern China, not exactly the standard traditional chinese beuty how ever u count it, she should do her eye brown first, and the face and eyes is too big for chinese attractiveness standard.
