why can Gollevainen who is a "mod" allowed to break the very rules he is meant to be enforceing??

this does not set a very good example for the rest of the forum when you have mods breakings forum rules, you cant have one rule for youself and another rule for someone else, dont care who u are

hence i have no time for double standards and for people who have a inferiority complex, back to PDF!!

however there are certain members here who i really enjoyed debating and getting into fruitful discussions with, so to them lot all the best!!

Clearly almost everyone would agree it was wrong, but if you're planning to leave SDF then there's not a lot to say

Me staying or not is irrelevant, he will continue to bring down the standard of the forum if his attitude stays

And after all the positive contributors it would be a shame to let one rotten apple ruin the basket

Ignoring a wrong does not make it a right

To all members, we are all troubled by the remarks of gollevainen. As we all know they are not in the true spirit of this forum. I know his remarks offended many members. I have informed the WebMaster about this incident. I am awaiting his response.

I echo what Bltizo has already said. Someone choosing to leave the forum is very sad and unfortunate, but it is a personal choice and usually, not much anyone could say would change their minds if what we write is read at all.

However, for what it's worth, I do not think what happened is a true reflection of how the mods usual behave here, and I have certainly never seen its like before.

And as Popeye has stated, the other mods are looking into this matter, and hopefully we will find out what is going on soon enough.

If that is enough to give you a reason to stay, great, otherwise we would all be sad about you leaving and wish you the best.

I think you have been a valued member here, I don't want you to leave this forum, you would be missed, but hopefully this issues can be resolved sooner rather than later.

Well, I didn't witness what happened, and I would, if I were you, wait and see what the Forum owners and leders say and do, and even give Goll some time too. Sometimes people have bad days, or other things go on in life that may impact their attitudes and actions...particularly if those actions are out of character.

Perhaps he will apologize to you and others over what happened.

Do not be too quick to leave...many of us have enjoyed conversing with you and would miss you. So, my advise would be to give it a few days and see what happens before you leave.

...but that is just my advise. You will have to make your own call and decision.

Asif,

I am handling this issue and we will resolve it in a way which is acceptable for everyone. I agree with you that moderator team needs to set a good example and needs to show professionalism when handling trouble makers.

I hope you do stick around and enjoy but if you still want to leave then I wish you good luck. :)

Asif, dont get too upset about it. It is only internet. There is a bigger world out there where people say thing face to face, instead via anonymous veil. And it is more polite and rational.

Try to think of you wanting to join a kid's play and there is one obnoxious 8 y.o. asking why you are yellow/brown/black (happens to me once). You just laugh it off and pat his head and tell him to piss off. You got to realize this is a virtual place where youngsters who spent so much time on a hobby-like forum that he can become a mod with no high professional knowledge or experience.
