Lack of moderation lately

There's been a surprising and concerning lack of moderation on some of the threads here of late. To remedy this, I suggest that the new moderator crew have their responsibilities expanded from just the Ukraine thread to other threads in the non-flagship forums and be able to ban users. No need for fanfare and announcements on the banned user thread, just dump the garbage in the landfill.

Yeah, the lack of moderation has been really concerning lately. Before the problem would get remedied quick, but it seems like all the mods are busy as of late. I agree on giving the new moderator expanded responsibilities, and maybe to not give them too much power, how about giving them the ability to shadow ban user's post for a certain time duration until the high authority mods steps in to review the situation.

Moderation is contingent on the behaviours of the user.
The more outrageous the infraction, the more heavy the corresponding moderation will be, and sometimes waiting a bit longer will result in the production of infractions of that nature, and the moderation which will follow.


Some of you may not like it if we become more gung ho about "taking out the trash," because let me assure you, that knife can cut both ways.
