Lack of links and reference

Recently, I've read complaints about Chinese posters copy and paste articles, but rarely post the reference URL or source.

Anyone care to speculate on this?

I've also noticed this on the net as a whole. These posters must realize that the link will back up the article they post.

Frequently I find Chinese military photos that I'm leary to post. Why? No caption..

I attempted to discuss this issue with some folks over the past couple of weeks. The responses range from "yes, we need more references and citations" to an attitude that they're doing you a favor by posting/sharing any information with you, and they see no reason to post links or citations. If you don't believe it, that's your problem and not theirs.

This creates a problem where trolls periodically send out made-up stories, and it gets copied and spread like wild fire without anyone actually checking/verifying the source. Examples include fake news on South Korean researchers claiming that Mao and Dr. Sun were ethnic Korean.

adeptitus, Ipst a lot of photos. I find that the Chinese photos I fand usally have no caption. I don't know why. I am leary to post these.

Any article or photo is more crediable when "backed up" with some sort of text reference or a link.
