J-XY/J-35 carrier-borne fighter thread

He wouldn't be sending any drawings if he didn't want any tea. I'd have imagined that any sensitive leak that makes it so far must be government supported or initiated. Oh we'll let him off again this time since the drawing looks like one made by a 2 year old who is still developing their coordination? Yeah right.

What is considered "secret" and "open-source" may only be certain aspects of the object in question. In this case perhaps only a few details are considered sensitive and thus there isn't a need to censor the existence of the darned thing. Or maybe he drew this in case he missed blurring out a few details.

The comments section wasn’t kind to the illustrations.

Surely, but this artwork was never ever meant to deduct any certain details nor to be authentic, but it is (or could be) a hidden message - shrouded behind a childish artwork to avoid being invited for tea by the authorities - but anyway to tell that there is something out there.

Yes, the shape and blurry details is not important. the messages is that there is now a prototype in existence. However, they are not letting us to know any further than that.

So inferring from that image

1. twin engine
2. wing tail configuration similar to the FC-31
3. intakes located under the fusalage like the J-10/Eurofighter instead of on the side like the J-20/FC-31

Anything else? Also, I wouldn't take this as anything more than make believe for now unless more hard information comes out.

With no. 3 I disagree... IMO a misinterpretation of that sketch.

A question for @huitong: is there a reason why you removed from your blog the rumor that the J-35's prototype has been built? Do you think that the rumor is false?

I think the transfer of #31003 to CFTE is independent from the rumor of someone seeing the J-35's prototype.

An illustration from GrassRoot, who has had some strangely 'prescient' line drawings over the years, too prescient even. Still, take it with more than a healthy serving of salt.
