Jokes aside, I do think that's what's the next logical step for the PLAN/PLAAF's development.

There certainly is a need to provide currently experienced pilots in the PLA a graduate-level instructor training along the lines of the the USAF Weapons School or the USN's TOPGUN program. Graduates of Weapons School and TOPGUN (known as patchwearers) return to their units and serve as subject matter experts advising the top brass on how to solve strategic problems, especially when it comes to force integration.

I could definitely see how both the PLAN and PLAAF could benefit from a similar sort of school house.

I don't know how long have you been in this forum. But China PLAAF did have analog to Top Gun It is called Golden helmet and has been running for number of years. Not sure about the navy air wing

My bad. My posting was based of a RAND Corporation report from 2016, which compares PLA pilot training to that of the US, and it highlights how there is no mid-career schooling house similar to the USAF Weapons School or TOPGUN, which selects the top pilots in the PLA and gives them graduate-level instructor training in weapons and tactics employment before returning them to their units to serve as Training/Weapons Officers and subject matter experts. In essence they provide solutions to questions that haven't even been thought of yet, then they present their solutions to the top brass. Just thought with advancements in PLAAF inventory and weaponry, that such a school house would help standardization of strategy and tactics across PLAAF assets.

Just doing some quick reading on Golden Helmet, it seems as though it serves as more of a competition than a training program for advanced tactics and implementation of strategy, which USAF Weapons School and TOPGUN provides?

In addition to the front landing gear, another major improvement of the J-15T is the changeover to China’s homemade “Taihang” engine. This may be because the catapult take-off method reduces the sensitivity of the engine throttle response, or it may be because the “Taihang” engine is constantly changing. After the improvement, it is enough to replace the customized version of the Russian AL-31F engine for J-15 jets.

@Deino, a blurry undated image. The caption says "test flight for a certain test/development project". Do you notice anything different? The nose cone seems different to me, but it could just be the blurriness.
