C'mon now...China has come along nicely in Carrier operations. However ..where are the aircraft? To my knowledge only 20 J-15s have been built. Barely enough for one CV. If I'm incorrect someone please let me know. Thank you.
Almost, 24 and that’s split between two carriers definitely not enough

however my comment was more aimed at operations, look and style of Chinese carrier

I am guessing that they are working on fixing the various issues found on the J-15 before producing another batch.

Why no new J15s are appearing when China could have manufactured more than 24 a year?

1) They could be waiting for a new variant in near future, if a new variant is to be available in far future they would not be waiting. Near future may be 2-3 years; and new variant of J15 or a new type J2X/J3X may appear sooner than expected (or may be not).

2) There may have been a 3rd batch of J15 training on shore base (ref: Huitong's website), but they are not showing photos to the public yet. Old time China military watchers should know this well.

We love surprise, so do PLA/PLAAF/PLAN. And surprise can only comes when unexpected.
