Hi
by the way is it a possibility to do this kind of work on J15/16
just a little curious after seeing this pic
thank you
Someone is clearly a Macross Frontier fanboy.

And no, it's not feasible in this day and age:
- aerodynamic: this kind of radar dish just doesn't really work with the speed that fighter jet that should operate at.
- it throws the overall centre of gravity off, and combined with the 1st point you might as well design a new plane from scratch
- a lot of electricity is needed to make these radars worth their time, fighter jets just don't have that kind of power
- besides the hardware, the human component is just as essential in an EW plane. The # of operators in the Hawkeye is barely enough as is. Maybe AI can make this work in the future.

The powerful radiation from the radar might possibly fry the brains of both the pilots unless you want to limit the downward angle of your radar waves. But most important is that is there a powerful electricity generator for the radar that can coupled with the engines and small enough to be fitted inside the fuselage.

Flankers have huge RCS and Khibiny is just a basic EW system so the aircraft are hopelessly outranged by F-22, F-35 and even reduced-RCS 4,5 gens with better radars like Rafale or Super Hornet have a clear advantage against Flankers with Bars radar
There's a claim that Khibiny used against F-35

The Su-35 has like one tenth of the RCS of a Su-27 or F-15.

They replaced a lot of components with composites. For example the tail of the airplane is all made of composites.
This means a Su-35 has a radar signature roughly the same size of a much smaller aircraft like an F-16.

It also has hugely more powerful radar systems than those aircraft.

I fully expect the J-15B to have even smaller RCS. It likely uses same construction methods as J-16 which use more composites in aero structure unlike the original J-15 aircraft. It will also likely have an AESA radar similar to the J-16.

What do you think? Another fan-made "thing" to fool us or a real J-15 patch and as such maybe a hint towards the J-15D is entering service soon with a "Hammerhead shark" logo? Also the exact variant and title was erased!
