Infraction powers?

Hi,

I went to report a post as spam and found a button next to the report post button to issue some sort of Infraction. I did, partly to see what it did. A yellow warning card now appears on he post. Which is a pitty as it was blatant spam deserving of a straight ban.

I searched the site for talk about this function and didn't find anything, so sorry if this is common knowledge and I'm just being slow. I am rather slow you know?

But it looked like mod type function; has everyone got this power and if not, should I have it? Not that I care or abuse it.



PS. I reckon that Golly chap deserves a few warnings ere and there....

Like ...."now he is comming kick, hide those..."?

To be frank I myself are almoust as noob to these infraction stuff. They appeared when the forum base was updated. What I've understood from it is that it gives some sort of technical possibility to give warnings to memebers. As we already have quite working warning system we felt that there no use for this new feature.
Webby can enlighten more about its technical aspects.

didn't it come as some sort of ranking system? judging how well a user behaves? except we never really use it...

I thought we had this function disabled. I will check on this.
