Indian media claims joint Russian-Chinese pressure on Tajikistan to eject India. Tajikistan rejected lease renewal in 2021 and Indians vacated by 2022.
A major tri-Service military exercise, ‘Trishul’, kicked off on Thursday (October 30, 2025) along the western border with Pakistan, showcasing the joint operational capability and strategic preparedness of the Indian Army, Navy, and the Air Force.
The large-scale drills, being conducted from October 30 to November 10, span across Gujarat and Rajasthan, and are aimed at enhancing interoperability, coordination, and mission readiness among the three Services.
It's quite a sizable military exercise. In history, large military exercises along the border have preceeded actual military invasions. Nevertheless, the numbers of troops mentioned in Trishul is far too small to carry out an actual invasion.More than 20,000 troops, supported by T-90S and Arjun tanks, attack helicopters, missile systems, Rafale and Sukhoi-30MKI fighters, as well as a fleet of frigates and destroyers, are conducting joint operations along the western front.
In early October, the Indian Defence Minister made no secret that India had been eyeing Sir Creek as an invasion corridor to Karachi. And the Indian military have also been saying that Ops Sindoor is still ongoing. These kinds of statements, along with the the Trishul Military Exercise are obviously quite threatening to Pakistan.Earlier this month, on October 2, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh cautioned Pakistan, stating that “a route to Karachi passes through Sir Creek.” He warned that any aggression in the Sir Creek area would be met with “a resounding response that will change both history and geography.”
The Wakhan Corridor is in Afghanistan.Indian media claims joint Russian-Chinese pressure on Tajikistan to eject India. Tajikistan rejected lease renewal in 2021 and Indians vacated by 2022.
If I'm not mistaken, PLA has an infantry presence there around the Wakhan Corridor (in Tajikistan), possibly developed after the 2016 Chinese embassy bombing in Kyrgyzstan.
The (Indian) Ayni airbase was also an Indian entry point into Afghanistan. Formerly, it was used to support the Norther Alliance against Afghan Taliban.
However, India has another Farkhor Airbase in Tajikistan. Indian media is falsely claiming "the only foreign base shutdown". Farkhor is still operational but never materialized to have any squadrons housed there, and it is operated jointly with Tajikistan. Looks pretty run down in satellite images.
India has never deployed any tank in these regions in past conflicts, and neither has Pakistan (except the M-48 Patton in '65, with limited success). The reason is simple: terrain does not allow it - wetlands, marshes, porous sand desert, quicksand, mudflats, etc. I believe India is developing the light Zorowar tank (or tankette?) precisely to overcome this limit. Defence minister is just blowing off steam. T-90 and Arjun has no chance here.A massive Indian military exercise involving the Army, Airforce, and Navy dubbed "Trishul" had commenced on Oct 30. It is being performed along the border with Pakistan.

This isn't credible at all, India can't sell it's Su-30MKI's aircraft since Russia has to approve it first. No way Russia lets India export a flanker variant over its own.Armenia Nears $3B Deal to Buy India’s Su-30MKI Fighters

Logo is giving me early 2000s geocities nostalgia. This isn't credible at all, India can't sell it's Su-30MKI's aircraft since Russia has to approve it first. No way Russia lets India export a flanker variant over its own.
Moreover Armenia doesn't have the cash and infrastructure to run such fleet.
