This is absolutely my favorite picture of 2013..Why? It reminds me of when I was a young man aboard John F. Kennedy and we deployed to the Mediterranean on 16 April 1973. We had to man the rails like you see here..standing at parade rest. My mom, step-sister & stepbrother was down on pier 12 waving goodbye away along with a few thousand others..but we could not wave back because we were standing at parade rest..Oh so many years ago....

EVERETT, Wash. (March 30, 2013) Sailors man the rails aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) as the ship gets underway. Nimitz departed its homeport of Everett, Wash., for a sustainment training exercise in preparation for an upcoming deployment. (U.S. Navy Photo by Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Kole E. Carpenter/Released)

AAARRRVVVV!!!!! Love this photo! Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Joshua Dingman looks like he's been busting ass and is a real American sailor.

Lieutenant General
There are too many to choose as a favorite. I like them all. It gives me an idea how the life in the Navy and Marines are like.
