I do not think CV-16/17 will be sold, but I also don't think they will be converted to CATOBARs at any point in their life.

Specifically, I do not think the effort, time, money, shipyard space and personnel, that would have to be used to convert them from STOBAR to CATOBAR, would be practically viable.

Can't say for sure, but technically on 11436 there should have been space & necessary structures for catapult on the angled deck.

Not on the Kuznetsov class, though. The follow-up, the Ulvyanovsk did have side catapults.

Hmmm, was the boilers and turbines not installed prior to hanger deck modules? I thought photographs taken a while back suggest they were.

They were if it following standard module building I assume some piping and wire cabling too. But there are still minor equipment that need to be installed, checking, calibration, last minute change etc that need access

Wrong. 11436 had space reserved for one steam cat on angled deck.
