Is it just me or is the flight deck still absent from the extreme bow? Also, there is no long protruding bulb at the forefoot similar to that in many recent rendering or on recent US CVNs. The rake of the stem and the profile of the forefoot also seem to resemble Kuznetsov, Liaoning and Shandong. I think viewed in the side profile, and viewed stern on, this ship will visually resemble Shandong quite closely, just missing the ski ramp

Just for the picture, have a lot at every corner of street , same as usa.

That flag seems to be mounted rather low the wall of the dry dock. it would be partially underwater if the dock is flooded to launch the ship. So I will venture to say does not betoken imminent launching.

Yes there were rumors from some reliable sources (including people who work in China's shipbuilding industry ) that Dalian is building a carrier (either a second type 003 or a new type 004) and IMO these rumors are probably correct.

The rumors about the PLA turn out to be true most of the time. I think there will be a second 003.

Is it the party flag? Maybe ready to celebrate the Party-building Day, but I don‘t know why take it out before the July 1, It rains everyday recently in Shanghai.

Or not the party flag....just like this situation⬇⬇⬇ but 003 has not been built yet...

it would not make sense to build a one off. so it is almost certain there will be some sister or semi-sister for the 003. but given the relatively long gap between 003 and her sister, the sister may be sufficiently different from 003 to warrant a new designation, 004, like 002 had relative to 001.

if that turn out to be accurate, then the first nuclear carrier might be 005

Huh, strange he just blurts out the number 4. I don't think rumours of 004 is floating around that much. Should we be reading anything into this?
