Note that 2 elevators won't be an issue if they are large enough to lift two fighters at a time.

Also, is it confirmed that 003 will have conventional propulsion considering that the white blobs are suspected to be boilers? No more retarded talk about radiation shielding and 'lack of smokestack hole' in the vain hope that it would be nuclear?
Where is the need to be nuclear anyway... they are not made to project forces to the other side of the globe like the US carriers. They will be able to be resupply from China in their zone of operation.

New @JanesINTEL

"satellite imagery notes the upper hull for China's new Type 003 aircraft carrier (with catapults for larger take-off weight) is being installed, suggesting a launch date in the first half of2 022."

TBH, the photo that was posted here on january 18th (and probably taken at the same time as this january 17th photo) gives more information than the jane´s photo.

Why does it provide more information than the jane´s photo in your opinion?

At least IMO - alone since it has a slightly different angle - and is a bit larger it is worth to be posted?!

Sure its worth to be posted. I didnt mean that its not worth to be posted. But the january 18th photo clearly shows how big the installed upper module is ( using the shadow ), instead of the jane´s photo that only points to it. And besides the photo is in colour, instead of black and white :).

Jane's photo makes me believe they installed upper modules all the way to sterns until Orthan points out it's the same photo from days ago.

Interesting post by @horobeyo, that IMO almost confirms what we expected since years and eventually ends the controversial discussion on whether Type 003 carrier is a CV powered by steam turbines ... or a CVN.

At least I agree with him, this appears like two steam turbines in the rear compartment.
