Thanks!
I have noticed the tone of some of these news outlet. All of them are very negative about both Duterte and China. It has puzzled me as I thought Duterte is very popular in Philippines.
@KYli and they accused him of being a dictator for trampling free speech....LOL. This newspaper together with ABS CBN television network (owner of ANC) shoot to fame for their role in EDSA revolution and is considered a king maker if you want to enter politics,
they owned the narrative, they can make or break your career if you don't champion their cause. Both are owned by an oligarch family (PREITO family for Inquirer, LOPEZ family for ABS CBN) which wealth came from being a land grabbers and rent seekers. That's how they control our economy. And Duterte is the only politician that challenge them publicly, Embarrassing Inquirer owner by collecting back taxes owned to gov't and seize the gov't properties that they illegally occupy (Mile Long property in Makati), ABS CBN (whose properties and equipment they illegally seized from Gov't owned PT4 after the EDSA revolution without paying a cent) by not renewing its franchised. Yesterday is EDSA REVOLUTION anniversary (FEB 25) a public holiday, it was they who urged our legislator to legislate it into law to cover up their misdeed , it was usually a festive atmosphere now it is scorned by the public as a day of infamy.
