By the way, has anyone here purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 7?
Was this the exploding phone that went BOOM and got recalled?

I went with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to replace the old, tired S4. The latter no longer receives app updates and even Android 5.0 isn't supported with all apps. Plus, due to its age, I wouldn't want to consider flashing firmware or the like. I'll just use it as-is as a test device until it completely dies.
A bit like my first smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, still works but is horrifically slow, doesn't support 4G and has had ZERO app support for the last few years due to being on Android 2.3. I don't even think sites like XDA Developers managed to get a custom ROM for any new version of Android (what is to be expected with a budget phone from 2012!), and of course now Google Apps such as Gmail won't work and won't let you sign in on any Android 2.3 device (or older).

Currently I am on a Samsung Galaxy S9+ as my main and the Galaxy S7 Edge as my secondary. The S4 just gets used as a test device whenever I feel like it. The Ace Plus doesn't get used anymore. And the ZTE Blade 3 that I mentioned earlier on in this thread (like 4 or 5 years ago) doesn't get used either, as the owner has upgraded to something more modern in order to get app compatibility (trying to get the ZTE Blade 3 working with apps, even when it was new, was a nightmare: it performed worse than the Galaxy Ace Plus, and got blew away by the Galaxy S4).

Sorry to wake up this long sleeping thread but Windows 11 is out. Have anyone tried it yet? I wanna try it but my computer is for work. I can't afford uninstall/reinstall it again and again.

Nope, and don't have any plans to for the foreseeable future.

Only one of my devices officially supports it: a HP OMEN with 8th generation i7 processor. Since it is my main gaming laptop, I am not going to be trying random stuff on it, just in case anything happens to it. There's no way I am trying out a new OS which I may not like, and apparently, uses more RAM than it's predecessor.

To put things into context: Windows 7 ran fine on 2GB RAM, but ideally wanted 4GB+. Windows 10 feels sluggish on 2GB RAM (I have another laptop that I was testing) and really wants 4GB. Windows 11 won't run at all on 2GB, as it requires 4GB, and probably needs 8GB to make it run anywhere remotely close to decent.
What on earth are Microsoft adding to run in the background that needs much more RAM?

My main laptop currently has a 4th gen i5 - not supported. But I do have a 4th gen i7 based workstation (HP ZBook 17) that I will soon switch to (32GB RAM instead of 16GB). Again, not supported due to 4th gen. My Surface Pro 3... isn't supported due to 4th gen. And my desktop tower PC... isn't supported due to CPU being i5-4460.

Unless there is a way to get around this CPU restriction for 7th gen Intel and older, a lot of laptops, desktops, and other devices, are going to be culled by Windows 11 (even though they work fine under Windows 7/8.1/10). This will be the biggest culling of devices since the days of Windows XP. Hopefully, nearer the time, either workarounds will be available, or other OS'es can be used, to stop the inevitable e-waste disaster that is likely going to happen.
