This is likely a separate, low-cost solution compared to the one shown at IDEX 2023, which had four fixed AESA panels and a substantially more sophisticated turret.

A better look at the model of that unknown laser weapon.
Yankeesama claims that lasers won’t replace point defense guns in the PLA since their respective strengths perfectly complement the other’s weaknesses. Even though lasers are cheap and does not require ballistic corrections, it is weather dependent and have a “spool up” charging time during which guns could provide cover fire.
