The problem isn't that they move events around, relative to the books. The events that are happening do make sense from the chronology of the book. The problem is that they have added and broken apart characters and have outright changed character motivations. It's not even entirely the same story anymore.

So much has been lost, and what they've added back in doesn't make up for it.

What's the title?

Basically, Dark Forest invented 'deterrence in space'. It's really a simple concept, but I think it's something only some who is Chinese could think of, not because of Chinese culture, but more because of an intersection of Chinese historical experience (especially recently) and current Chinese scientific development.

Arsenal military academy.

I watched the netflix version. An utter mess. They removed all tension, suspense and fear that was key element of the books and Tencent show. They rushed it too much. Key characters like Ye Wenjie and Da Shi have lost all their essence. All the new western characters are of course really bad.

I atleast thought they will be good with the story telling part. But sadly no.
So far, the Chinese internet is filled with accusations against Netflix.
Everything has turned into American style political correctness. Apart from "racial diversity" and sex, you cannot see any depth in the story.
The ruthless fact proves that Hollywood lacks the ability and willingness to understand different cultures, and they once again messed up the task of adapting East Asian cultural works.

Before the official broadcast, they were proud of their "re creation".
Americans always confidently display their arrogance and shallowness.

Addendum: It is widely recognized that "The Three Body Problem" actually portrays China's survival crisis in the face of imperialist invasion for nearly two hundred years.
Americans consider themselves "chosen one", and no one has yet posed a threat that could deprive them of their right to survival. On the contrary, they have always been successful conquerors. The Native in North America are more like people facing extraterrestrial invasion, and Americans have indeed turned most of them into history that only exists in museums.

Reading the book, it's pretty clear that in a lot of the ways, the Trisolarians are stand-ins for the Americans; increasingly so now that America has pretty much explicitly stated they would like to halt Chinese scientific progress, at least in select areas.
