Even the stealthiest of fighters have limits if they get to close to radar transmitters. The Awacs forms a cluster of command and control with ground based SAM systems, conventional fourth gens, Radar sites and other assets that when networked put Fifth gen penetrating assets in a bad spot. Like trying to navigate a mine field.
From the story of wargame involving J-20 it seems quite usual to take out AWACS under J-10 and J-11 protection even under support of ground based asset.

If it’s at range from a cluster of system and using longer range missiles sure. But the act lights a fire under all nearby systems as they are now aware of targets in the zone. The Pilots of the J20 in full operation have to tread carefully using passive radar detection system to keep away from emissions. Case in point is the F117 shoot down in 1999. It got to close to the radar emitter. Which had been placed along a known track.

Should be 13 in a row.

Any chance that the picture is photoshopped?

It seems like one of the planes is either missing a tail, or it's much longer from the nose to the tail.

Edit: The length is okay when I actually measured it.

Looks like it's 13 with the left-most plane missing the tail in the picture.
