theres more to it than taiwan, but those dont meet the eye right away. such as oil huntiing, americas growing deficit and outsourcing, and the rise of china itself.

my grandpa was a kid when ww2 began. he met several u.s pilots in chengdu and was allowed to tour their aircraft!

For some reason, I think that number has been propagandized and exagerated. I'd estimate the kill ratio to be around 5:1, on the side of the Tigers.

Kidding me, i don't think the Japanese airforce suck that bad. 3:1 ratio is already to much, how could the Americans be that experienced. They were also flying in a foreign faraway country and the Japanese got air base in China.

Well, what can you expect from Nates and Nicks? The Oscars are ok but the Nates are nothing but manuverable scrap metal......

Unfortunately, China's own real airforce was a diaster. All they had were double winged slow slugs........

Good thing China managed to kidnap some Japanese fighters at the end. (Zeros, right? Oscars don't stick either.)

I think we destroyed pretty much all Japanese planes that were captured since no one can work those planes. Remember General He Long and his group of 100 men destroyed 30 Japanese planes by just bayonet. Later, we did get a better airforce from U.S and Russia.
